Got my edead in and carpeted the tunk!

hey everybody!! i got my edead and carpeting in!! Oh and a warning to anyone who wants to install this stuff in thier car... wear gloves!! i cut my hands up like a mother, and tore a chunk of my thumb off from the sticky side of the edead.

I didn't use gloves and only got a tiny slice out of my first finger but that was from the box knife I was using to cut the eDead. Might be that you were installing it in 60+ degree weather whereas I was putting it in in 25 degree weather.

no it aint. it was 7 degreese the other day in the garage without the windchill when i built my tempest box.

5degrees+windchill when i put my new box in lol. it was nasty out man and i dont have a garage it was only day there was no snow though.

No DOUBT! I did three layers in my trunk cuz the stuff I got was thinner then I expected. Took me forever! Had more sound deadening material on me then the car. I could barely get my spare back in when I put things back together, it was tight. I had to use WD-40 and it still squeaked all the way down (maybe 3 layers was pushing it). LOL!

It's like 7 degrees here now, but fortunately for me I have access to a heated garage when I need it. Just wish I had the $$$ to need it to instal something!

I got a big a$$ slice in my thunb as well from the sticky tearing it off. Didnt feel very good. I just recently got my edead on my trunk/trunk lid, a couple small pieces came a little loose, but not bad at all. Would it be a good idea to just throw some carpet over the edead? yea its a great idea and duznt hinder the edeads performance either. and the carpet looks better than the silver stuff dont u think??

Whats the foam stuff?

the foam is the stuff you put under hardwood floors to stop the creaking, i guess that helps dampen sound too

also did you glue the carpet?

at first i used some of that industrial strenght adhesive i got from my dads dealership, too sticky and no room for mistakes. Then i used some of that spray on adhesive 3M i tink 88 idunno. and that stuff stuck strong, but you can pull it off if you want to.
