What meter did you get on, where did they put it, and you did seal up the car right?

btw - ive owned 8 of those amps. They are overrated.

that is my first amp...i havnt owned any other amps.....i had the windows and a doors closed, he sat in the car a put the mic thing right above the dash board on the passenger side up near the window...i dunno what it was....it was @ a local auido shop

Im not trying to down your system at all, I was just saying that unfortuantely Audiobahn amps, as a whole, tend not to achieve their power ratings...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Oh yea and sound deadening wont gain you much really. When I put 2 layers of hiTemp Mastic on the inside outer skin of my truck the loudest note did change a little bit. Once I retuned my box to this higher note, I gained a few tenths... But the biggest change was how quiet it got inside the cab! Driving at 80mph I can talk juuuuust above a whisper and you'll be able to hear me with no issues. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

What did the mic look like? Was it a long slender silver or black rod or a black box?

there 12s.....i dont remember but he had the thing that had the numbers in a bag that was on a strap around his neck....i dont remember what the mic looked like

Sounds like an audiocontrol. Decent numbers! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Try to go to a dB Drag if you get a chance, but be fowarned, the mics in that are a little tougher...but sooo wonderfully consistant. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ye before i goto any comp...imma dynamat the whole car ...every square inch of it...ill make a video of car with i give it a test tone...my roof flexes like 2 inches..

Sounds like an audiocontrol 160.. same thing my shop has.

I think the weak spot in your system is the amp, audiobahn amps are not good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

You never said what kind of box?
