I have been having a difficult time finding someone to construct a ported enclosure for my two 10s, so yesterday I just went to Home Depot and had them make some cuts for me which I screwed together at home to create a temporary sealed box for them. I am still planning to go ported in the near future, SELFMADE is going to be constructing a box for me.

It came out being .88cf per sub before displacement. I threw it in the same spot as my old box, as it was much the same size (replacing my single Fi Q 12)and plugged the amp in without changing the gains or anything at all.

They sound great! More output than the Fi, I guess bc there is two, and the SQ is f*cking amazing. I cant believe how clear they are, everyone who has heard it has remarked about how clean they sound. Given, my Fi was **** clean sounding too, but this is a whole new level. They sound great at all volumes. No issues thus far, and I have BANGED two Three 6 Mafia albums through it so far.

I will post more feedback as the subs get more playing time. Im not disappointed so far //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

How is the high end extension on it, that was teh biggest complaints of the other idiots.

the HFE is sick! I cant believe anyone had issues with that. Put On by Jeezy sounds insane, just as well as Ackrite on The Chronic. Thats actually the most impressive part of these subs next to the SQ, not sure how that couldve been a problem. I guess my cab and other people's cabins have much different transfer functions.

The only part that has somewhat lacked is the low frequency extension. In "Put On" by Jeezy, when the bass drops to the lowest tone, you can tell that it is down in output as compared with the higher frequency notes. Easy fix though, im going ported! Im sure the low end will be downright unreasonable after I do that. I hope!

As a sidenote, songs with a quick bass line sound ****ing amazing. such as UGK's "Two Types of *****es" These are the quickest responding most accurate subs I have ever heard.

jk.

You listin to mainly commercial rap and have a sq setup? I guess clean sound is clean sound, but there are more sq oriented stuff. I listen to mainly industrial, so I guess I can't say much.

It really depends on the artist and recording TBH. Some rap is really well done and an SQ system does it justice. I listen to a lot of industrial too, and most of it isn't recorded for shit sadly.

no, I have just lost my way a little bit since getting big into the subs lately.

I primarily listen to different types of rock, but I wanted to test output of the sub (and of course durability) so thats what I broke it in on.

I will start listening to other music with it soon, again, mainly just wanted to check output. I just wanted to see how loud they would get, then i found myself saying "**** those sound clean" but yes, rap isnt the best sq test.

For some pretty well recorded rap, check out BEE's mixtape here. You can download the whole thing. Most of it is recorded really well since it was done in the studio I built for them.

You can see some shots in the studio in this video:

There's also some pretty good low end since the studio monitors flat down to 10hz. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

let's see some pics and vids! If you were to compare a Q in the proper ported enclosure with 1200 RMS versus a AV in the proper ported enclosure with 1200 RMS which one do you think will be louder?

my reaction was the same, you bought killer SQ subs to listen to that shit LOL 99% of mainstream rap has zero SQ, just boomy/muddy bass and hissing highs.

Glad the subs are doing what you wanted...

Having had both, in the same enclosure, with the same 1300 rms, I can tell you that the AV was WAY better down low and just as good up top, while being cleaner

nice man... glad your liking your set up
thanks man

haha, yes, this was just the initial SPL testing.
