Got midbass?

I have no build log yet, they haven't been installed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'll be sure to take pics as I go though.

Too bad there aren't as many songs with heavy midbass as you'd like tho.
I know what my music tastes consist of, thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif No matter what Im listening to, Id liek the midbass to keep up, this will allow me to have this. If you think this will make my midbass overpowering, you haven't seen the rest of my system. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif These will fit into the rest of my system quite nicely.

you can. time and patience is your friend. and an extra car doesnt hurt either lol. only reason why i havent done anything so "thorough" is i only have one car. so stripping it down and doing a a very clean install in one weekend isnt gonna happen. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif
same here, thats whats stopping me from going crazy and experimenting with fiberglass. and the $ too. Not enough.

Yeah I have several vehicles to chose from, so it makes this sort of thing easier. Good point. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lol, well they are just about to release the XS's 6.5 midbass's which are suppose to be just as good as the IDQ8's if not btter than them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

good stuff man. i was looking for idq8's for like 3~5 years as well. but whenever i found them, they sold for like $500\pair and they looked like arse... or i was broke.

i finally got some seas REX mids and they work great. i had trouble fitting 3.5 inches. i cant imagine putting TWO pairs in the doors without a complete overhaul of the panel (wich is not an option of mine)

if you have not seen mine, take a look at it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Isn't that where the cones are facing each other...

That would be a really neat console idea.

I wonder if I could do that...and how.

****, yall always give me good ideas!!!

Yes I know about the xs 6.5's, and I also know they are planning on new IDQ8's at some point in the future... but its ID we're talking about (I still want an IDOne and IDMax15's)... they make great stuff, but dont hold your breath. lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Ive also seen alot of midbass drivers come on the scene that were suppose to be superior, only to fade away... people still talk about their old IDQ midbass drivers like they wished they'd never gotten rid of them. So I figure, go with it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

When the xxx 6.5's came out I thought Id found newer, better, more easily available drivers too. But something about the sound of IDQ's brings me back to them. If I hadn't found this second set, Id have gotten another set of xxx's and ran them till the XS's or new IDQ's came out. But as it stands, I dont see a midbass upgrade anytime soon in my future now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Horns are CD1pro's (cant fit the neo's without ALOT of work) and Audax PR170MO's... so I was wanting more than just one pair of midbass drivers to try and bridge the efficiency gap.

I followed your install thread closely req, they came out beautiful looking. I have a plan for my doors, but I need to do a little more research. My doors are semi-fancy with pockets down low that span the entire length of the door. If I cut it, I'll have to fill the whole thing. Id like to find some plain-jane door panels to cut up. But either way, it'll have to be pods built out to hold the baffle board. They'll be IB, I have the space for the holes necessary. Should work out, assuming I dont screw up anything... fabrication has never been my strong point. lol

it always works out this way.....Now they will be everywhere......

LOL... I KNEW that would happen. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

****.. wish i had known you were looking.. i have a pair around here somewhere:) looks nice man!
Doh... thanks for the thought tho. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
