price and sound...bass from them is really good....and they are a little on the warm side and can get a tad bit muddy at times but overall it is super clean sound with good asss bass for a 6What make these special? I literally know nothing about them.
So you'd be running 150RMS each? That's nuts! I'd be scared to run almost 200% RMS. I wish I wasn't though, I wouldn't mind more than 150RMS to my CL61's.Will be trying a pair in each door sealed soon. For now they are just hanging around on small power. When i get a sub amp , my 800f will be shifted over to mid duty. will be sending 600 RMS to the flutes , 2 pairs that is. Right now they are sharing around 300 RMS. BTW , i have the 8 ohm models.
I just took a ride listening to fleetwood mac "gold dust woman" with my subs turned off and could feel these suckers pounding. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i crossed them at 63hz 24/DB slope - 3.2khz 12/db slope and they sound great!!price and sound...bass from them is really good....and they are a little on the warm side and can get a tad bit muddy at times but overall it is super clean sound with good asss bass for a 6
Gotcha. Just looked at the link you posted and they seem pretty nice. Look pretty flat up to 5k but I think I would feel comfortable to run them as midbass. Judging by what you just saidprice and sound...bass from them is really good....and they are a little on the warm side and can get a tad bit muddy at times but overall it is super clean sound with good asss bass for a 6
if i had them in sealed pods and more power (my current mid amp is not enough by far IMO) i would cross them lower.im gonna have mine crossed at 50
just have to find out how the hell im suppose to make them fit in my bimmer
That's what the gain is for. I have 200 on tap per tweeter in my car but I over bought on amps for extreme headroomSo you'd be running 150RMS each? That's nuts! I'd be scared to run almost 200% RMS. I wish I wasn't though, I wouldn't mind more than 150RMS to my CL61's.
Yeah, at this point in time I wish I would've bought an amp with more headroom instead of maxing this one out. That's what the gain is for. I have 200 on tap per tweeters in my car but I over bought on amps for extreme headroom
yup , my tweeters are on 100x2 and are only rated for 50 each. And they sound great no matter the volume because i have my gains correctly set and am never straining the amp to achieve the speakers full potential. That's what the gain is for. ya thats where they should be....Gotcha. Just looked at the link you posted and they seem pretty nice. Look pretty flat up to 5k but I think I would feel comfortable to run them as midbass. Judging by what you just said
I bought 3 id q700.2's for my front stage alone. One per mid and one for tweeters. So 650 on tap per mid and 200 per tweeter lol. I'm also building up an sq car so headroom imo is a mustYeah, at this point in time I wish I would've bought an amp with more headroom instead of maxing this one out.
