Got me soMe new mids today. :)

My brother decided that while his amps are being worked on by Steve that he wants some different speakers. So he tells me that if I give him one of my old cb radios to put in his new mud truck that he would give me his brand new (literally) silver flutes! I was like hell yeah! So I need to make pods. Right now they are IB in the doors and deck. The ones in the deck sound great , the ones in the door sound like ****. So I was wondering , has anybody made ported pods before? These speakers are recommended for ported enclosures.

You should see mine. Lol. The fronts are on mdf baffles with no carpet or anything and the rear ones are on mdf plates that adapt 6x9 holes to take a 6.5. Lol looks terrible but sounds pretty good. Funny thing is that each side , front and rear are the same distance from my ears on each side so the t/a still works correctly. Lol

Will be trying a pair in each door sealed soon. For now they are just hanging around on small power. When i get a sub amp , my 800f will be shifted over to mid duty. will be sending 600 RMS to the flutes , 2 pairs that is. Right now they are sharing around 300 RMS. BTW , i have the 8 ohm models.
