Need Help...

Hey. I have a quick question (sorry if its dumb, i'm kind of new to car audio). I have an alpine CDE-121 in a 2001 Chevy Malibu and i'm looking to install new speakers....

I'm getting two Alpine SPE-6090 which are 600w peak (per pair) and 150w RMS (per pair). I'm also getting two Alpine SPS-406 which are 280w peak (per pair) and 90w RMS (per pair).

My question is... do i NEED and amp to use the speakers or will it just increase the sound quality? If so which amp would you suggest?

Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

You dont need one with the S series.. And dont pay attention to the peak power it means nothing.

If your deck is compatible I recommend the Alpine KTP-445

I run one and love it. Much cheaper the a 4 channel amp plus wiring kit

Not sure. Like i said, i'm new to car audio so sorry if i sound dumb. But i know the head unit only puts out a certain amount of power to the speakers and i thought maybe it wouldn't be able to handle something with a lot of power. Just a thought.
