Got into law school today!

LOL according to USnew overall school ranking in 2007, miami is 54th, florida state 110th and florida isn't even on the list. michigan state is even on the list at 70th and that's where all the idiots and pot smokers who couldn't get into michigan go //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif god i hate the spartans //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

That's a good score.
nah not its not, i was devastated when i got it back, because i was expecting like a 163 at the very worst. BUt luckily i still got into Miami, so now i am not pressured to retake the lsat and wait a year.

i'm just pointing out to the person who said florida was ranked higher then michigan.

slick rick, are you an attorney? You sound like you know your shit.
Nope. I'm a lowly 1L (1st year law student). My dad is a crim law attorney here in FTL so I know a touch about the topics we are discussing. to give you an example, my dad got his JD and MBA in 3 years from U of Dayton law school in the 70's. Despite it being a small and not well known, he does 6 figures with ease here in SOFL. It all depends on the type of law you wish to practice. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

i want to go into biglaw actually. If i can't, then i have no idea what type of law i want to practice. Something with the potential to make good money. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I was going to go to school for law at UGA, but I decided that going to school for 7+ years and working 50+ hours a week wasn't really worth it to me. So mechanical engineering at GT for me. And I like math a lot better than words.

im the opposite, i enjoy going to school and i can't wait to start law school. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The working tons of hours a week im not looking foward to though

Hope you do good. The main reason I changed to ME is because after Ive built up some money after about 10-15 years, I want to be able to use my degree for something else such as actually making and manufacturing my own products.
