got fired today

I wouldn't even go down that road. There are many a douchebags in this world, be proud for standing up for yourself and not taking some of their shit. Then move and move on. Piss on Walmart anyhow...slave drivin bastards.

i'm going on an internship in florida and really can't put that off lol.

Well no offense I work the customer service at where I work and if I ever swore at a customer oh gosh...but then again I get Rich people not Kmart shoppers lol.
I don't fully agree with what ya said...Your suppose to have to take crapt in order to keep your job. Thats just how it is. Whether or not it was fair because he was swearing at you and U swore back he shouldn't be such a prick about it and call them up and say that u swore at him when he was doing it to you. And also for them not giving you a chance to explain yourself...thats not exactly legal!? They usually give you a rebudle and they make you fill out some paper work of what exactly happened. But eh, I would look into that for sure.

i knew i was gonna be out of there in 3 weeks so that's why i swore back at him but i never figured he would actually do something about it lol. when an employee comes to me and says another employee did something i get an investigation going but i don't thing kmart did so. not sure if they have to but you think they would.

Well Kmart is known as a "family orginization." So yeah they would have to investigate it. Just firing your because one customer said you swore at him. Where is the proof? If someone said something about me while I worked at Polo Jeans and or Butera (grocery store like jewel) They would have to investigate it. It would be illegal otherwise. There has to be a valid reason. Because if someone doesn't like you they could just call up and say you swore at them, think about it. So it's truly up to you if you want to fight it our not cause you totally could. But if you were leavin' soon...wouldn't worry about it then!

dam

icetee i understand where your comming from..some consumers do get on your nerves..but if your manager see that a customer was giving u and the cashier a hard time...he should have been escorted out the store..imho

but u rite something was fishy the fact that an investigation wasnt done....\

your good people i know u will find a better job making better money

Funk K-mart. i worked there along time ago and they tried to fire an few of us "young people" couse at the time my town Port Huron had a gang problem. i'm white and from a farm town in michigan "yale". i dont dress or talk like a gang member. any who they fired me and another guy for stealing they said they had us on camera the whole shabang. thats been like 11 years ago. i've been in k-mart i think a total of 3 times since.
wow... port huron. i didnt think anyone from port huron would be on caraudio.com:laugh: my family is from there and i moved away from there 2 years ago. i only lived there for a couple years. my grandfather was raised in yale. they only have 1 traffic light in the whole town of yale!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif funny stuff right there.

back to the subject. i would have done the same thing, but you should have been fired.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

depending on the state (most are like washington) you would be wasting your time and money sueing them because most states are 'right to work' or 'at will' states whcih means you can be fired at ANY time for ANY reason as long as its not discrimination.

Now, If you sue them for age discrimination, you might be getting yourself into alot of cash //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

michigan is not a right to work state. michigan is probably the most unionized state in the country.

the customer is always right... is a BS policy. when someone goes that high up in the chain to complain, they usually take it seriously. however, this may not always hold true, but to the company it is the impetus to axe you. dont worry, my unlce started out as a manager for Kmart in the 70s and now he owns his own Honda dealership in PA.

i told him that's fine by me, one less ******* i have to worry about.

no offense but if u were an employee of mine and i heard that you had said taht to a customer regardless of if they were right or wrong in the given situation i'd have fired you also. even though, im sorry to hear they fired ya. But there are better places to work. Its all in how u look at it i suppose
