got any input on the PA a3000db amp

If you strap them they can't be used at 1 ohm it would be 2 ohm thats like running them at .5ohm a peice(you will see smoke) but there ok amps they should each do some where Close to 2000rms each.

have 2 strapped at .7 apiece very solid amps, actually kinda efficient too, no problems with them

b/c the ohm load is simply to low, each amp will see a half ohm load, maybe strapped at 1 ohm for a burp but not for daily

I had one on a 15" xxx. It pushed the sub hard, no problems with it. It did have a nasty turn on pop though.

I had/have one. Used it for 3 days running 3 10" l7's running @ .7ohms. It ran perfect. I then switched the load to ohm load to 1.34 (measured 1.5 w/ multimeter) played a song for about 1.5min and blew the amp plus one sub.

So far ive been waiting about 2-3 weeks and still havent gotten a sub or the amp back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but im hoping sometime next week they should be here.

Thats just my experience with it. Even though it was bad I still dont have anything against the amp when it worked it worked great. No complaints at all.

I have a PA a2400d running at 4 ohms on two soundstream picasso 15's and I must say that I am some what impressed with the amp. I am still testing sub and box designs but they pound pretty hard with my current setup. I am not one who would normally buy non main stream gear but I am glad I decided to try this amp.

Efficient is what this amp is, well at 4 ohm sure but I ran it at 1 ohm for about one week and it seemed like it may not be a current hungry amp. Yes the 15's can't take all that power and no I never got it up to full tilt at 1 ohm but I tell you the amp rocks.

Sounds just as good as any other amp I have installed, well close enough anyway... no turn on/off pops, nice feature set, low price.....I don't like the look of it but it's got power. And I know a guy who is running a strapped pair of PA a3000d at 1 ohm and has been for more then a year. But he doesn't drive them full tilt. PA will not recommend doing this but it works for my friend. I would get one and not wait.
