Got an MIP in michigan

And being on a fire dept helps out alot btw....especially with locals and county sheriff deputies. I'm on a FD myself, has gotten me out of trouble a few times.

Yes, that's exactly how the law should work, the buddy buddy system.

"Zomg I didn't realize you're a firefighter, lol, have a nice night!"

if you ask me, the guys brave enough to be a firefighter and save peoples houses and lives. And mature enough to do such a thing, then I beleive he has rightfully earned the priveledge to drink a beer.

In my opinion, there's plenty of noble, brave, and mature things a lot of people do on a regular basis that entitle them to special treatment... However, those people don't bring up their good doing to get themselves out of trouble.

Nor do they have a card to identify themselves to the police, if that's the case with firefighters.

Not trying to discredit firefighters at all, but the law shouldn't be changed based on the person.

best thing for you to do, is just plead guilty. live up to it and get it over with. if it is your first offense, most likely you will not get a whole lot.

it was my first offense when i got mine. i sucked it up, plead guilty, and all i got was i had to pay 150$, and it was over with.

trust me, just be honest and live up to your mistakes. and from now on when you have alcohol in the car, leave it in the trunk, and if possible have someone 21 in the car. or just not drive...

If you got an mip odds are it'll end up on your record. At best they will drop it to a disorderly person; which can mean just about anything. I don't know how old you are though, if they charge you as a minor eventually your minor criminal record gets expunged, unless you rack up felonies.
