Got an idea for a new forum...

Perhaps you rocket scientists will understand a little better when you own your own stereo shop and derive your sole source of living from it. Nothing like telling people how to do it themselves and put you out of a job at the same time. Again, I too have helped out countless people on these forums and I will continue to do so, but not at the expense of cutting my own throat.
I'm proposing a forum for installers. Do you have countless customers walking in that are professional installers? I doubt it.

I disagree with the idea. It's just another forum too many people will be too lazy to browse and post in. IMO, better to keep installation threads in the more frequented wiring/electrical/installation or general forum.

I say do it.. I've got a few tutorials I wouldn't mind posting.

I own my own shop and I don't care what info gets out. Like John said.. there will still be people out there who are too afraid to touch their own car. And if they remember you telling them how to do it and giving them great customer service, chances are they'll come have you do it for them.

I think it's a good idea. Some people wouldn't dream of pulling their car dash apart and this is the target market for install shops. Most people who come here will figure out how to do it themselves one way or another. An install thread would make life easier.
