got a decent amp, now I just need some subs

Ok, so this time I'm going with a ported box. I need a single or dual sub setup that will have sound quality, and hit 140db or so. I realize I'm probably asking a lot, but I want opinions.

I was looking at some DD 1510's or 1508's, or some Kicker Comp VR 10's. I would like to do the kickers as they're cheap, but I'm curious about the DD's.

I have a JL 500/1 I would like to use, I bench tested it and it put out 790 watts at 1 ohm, and 505 at 4 ohms, so I was going to run it at 2 ohms for Daily purposes. I would consider upgrading to 1000+ watts if 140db can't be done without it.

I have a regular cab chevy truck, so I don't have much space. I'm also 6'2" so I can't be sliding the seat forward more than 1 or 2 clicks. This means no subs over 6" deep and I like backfiring boxes so this one will be one too.

that's what everybody says. BUT contrary to JL advertising, the power does vary with voltage and impedance. I bench tested it, results don't lie. Now I would like opinions on subs, please don't tell me how much power my amp puts out.

That's a tad high on the CVRs.

I was going to order crutchfield, but for the $20 I think I can support the local guys, they just started a shop last august, and they're cool, let me listen to whatever they have in stock, and are trying to carry as many brands as possible. They bench tested my JL 500/1 for free also.

Is there any pricing on DD's on any websites? Also, what is a good price for the 500 or 1500 series?
