Got a 12 inch konaki today WOW

Moving the cone in by hand may cause premature damage. I would highly advise against it.
As opposed to timely damage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Yeah. i was thinking I may have exaggerated . Prob 70lbs. but still Yeah I can understand that. But honestly it prob is getting reconed so it don't matter. this is just a test woofer. to see if I like it at all. I am going to reinforce the spiders before it goes in my test box. I prob am just going to epoxy it externally not on the bottom of the spiders. hopefully that will be good enough. I really dont' want to have to try to pop the spider "landing?" off.

If you just put epoxy on the spider, the epoxy may dry hard as hell and it might not flex there and cut through the rest of spider that is flexin. not sure what you should do, maybe play it at low Hz free air and try to loosen it up while you can keep an eye oon it and then glue it back on when it comes off. arghh not sure what you should do.

No. I would epoxy around the edge at a 90 then wrap over spider but ONLY over the part of the spider that is already against the plastic. not go over into the movement part of the suspension
