Rockwood Subs?

Anyone ever use these? I just picked up a 15" 800w Rockwood sub. Hooked it up to my pioneer amp and it sounds decent. Not sure if I like it though....

Rockwood is one of those brands I liken to pawn shop, flea market, and local fairgrounds "Car Audio Blowout Sales" that come to town from time to time.

Will it work?

Probably.

Will it be the best thing you'll ever use?

Not likely.

Car audio is one of those areas of discretionary spending where the old axiom "You get what you pay for" really holds true.

If you get a BNIB 15" sub for under $50 then more likely than not you've simply bought yourself a

I was going to say that. Rockwood is back in 1876 when Rockford Sr. and Kenwood Queen decided they wanted to have a baby so 25 years later, came the colaboration of Rockford and Kenwood...Rockwood. Rockwood could have turned out to be a living legend but instead he turned ghey and retarded. Don't tell me you never heard of that story:wow:?

You guys are too funny....Just bought it from a friend to help him out. He needed the money so I got it for 20$.

I'll get pics of it tomorrow. It looks prety cool though. Im gonna try it on my friends kenwood amp and see it it gets louder like that.

I had 2 12" RF Punch HE's and those sounded real good but I sold them to another freind. Plan on getting some Type R's soon.

Two of my old time favorite name-brand copycats were Kenford and Rockwood. $20 is about what it was worth probably. Honestly, its the type/quality of speaker I dont consider being worth building/buying an enclosure for. Wall socket it and move on to a real driver.
