Sucks they're $3.50/ea though when i'd need ~50 of them.

hey bro. just go over to diymobileaudio.com and check out the install section there is a thread called show off your wiring. All i can say is ive learned so much over there since they are more of hobbyists and older men with established careers vs. flaming 16 yr olds whom like dat KICKER SHIZNIT! Me being 17, i establish senority to those 16 yr olds mentioned. and well id say my 1st system isnt most peoples first systems =].

But head on over there. i was in utter shock when i saw doitor's of hybrid audio, big red's, and several others wiring.

Several tutorials on making sophisticated wiring look beautiful. If you want to do it right.

buy several colors of heat shrink, a label maker with clear laminate and black text, (Cost me 50$ for tape and machine at staples), several cable ties with screw mounts, cable clamps with screw mounts (both with different sizing, black or clear is ur option) and then it just comes down to the gear you use.

Personal favorites

Knukonceptz wire.

Im going for a grey and silver pattern in mine. i did use heat shrink because all the wire followed same color scheme

I bought all

3 Karma SS Rca's

10 Gauge Karma SS Speaker Wire for Subwoofers

12 Gauge Karma SS Speaker Wire for Midbass

16 Gauge Karma SS Speaker Wire for Midrange and Tweeters

1/0 Gauge Knukonceptz Kollosus Fleks Cable Grey for Both + and - Runs

4 Gauge Knukonceptz Kollosus Fleks Cable Grey for each run to each amp + and -

8 Gauge Knukonceptz Kollosus Fleks Cable Grey for subwoofer box terminals to amp

Then for wire assessories i have my preferences.

IMO i like the look of brushed aluminum over the shiny chrome crap. so my personal favorites are

Kicker Fork Style Distro Blocks for + and - Wire seperation on Power and Grounds.

Kicker ANL Fuse Holders

Streetwire battery clamps (new brushed aluminum looking style)

Streetwire Fansy Ring Terminals or the Knukonceptz Ones look the same

Streetwire Ground Blocks

Streetwire Banana plugs

Streetwire Chokes for connecting 2 shorter lengths together

Look up the site and specific thread i gave you for ideas and buy quality gear to your tastes and get working =]

I should have pics of mine up shortly. ive spent around 800$ total on all my wiring over the years. but mostly because i redid it this last time completely and i added more wire from my original one i did.

DO it right the first time

Mike-

other color cordination that i was going to run was kicker blue hyperflex power and grey grounds

with kicker hyperflex 16 speaker wire

and kicker sflex 10 - 12 gauge wire

it give the same effect but its a dark blue / grey cordination.

Mike-

now this is a useful thread... someone should stickie this

only thing I dont like about doin something that in depth...once you start shrink wrapping wires, that makes a nightmare once you have to troubleshoot something...but at the same time when the wires are that protected you shouldnt need to trouble shoot them for shorts, grounds.....BUT, it happens

why i stated use a label maker to identify each wire. and also u really wont ever have problems if u techflex the wire. only problem if it were to happen would be at tips splice etc... in which case u would be able to identify in a matter of minutes.

That is a great thread for clean install. They really take pride in their installs and the work they do on their vehicles. I do like the idea of using barrier strips for the speaker wire installs if you change speakers out often or need to trouble shoot (if you compete).

well thanks to this thread and diyma my whole plan has changed. i'll be htting up waytek wire for a gang of wire/accesories and making my ow setup. 3 circuit breakers, fuse block (not holder) for air ride, switch wiring harness, lots of labeling/shrink wrap/terminals, etc.

thanks a lot you guys.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
