Good sub, small space

I'm looking for a sub that will perform well in a small space. Hoping to do a 10, but a 12 that works well in a small space would be fine.

It would be sealed, fiberglassed into the trunk on the side. Hoping to outperform a buddies 12" L7 for kicks and giggles if possible but not a big deal.

Any ideas? I have 3 amps I could potentially use depending on the power handling of the sub... a kicker zx500, a kicker zx2500, and a planet audio 5000.1d which is probably in between the two others as far as power.

Also, local shop wants 600 for a single fiberglass sealed box... How hard to fiberglass at home?

to beat l7 in a small sealed enclosure will be hard my friend. also fiberglass is not that rough. just build up a sealed 12" enclosure, and glass it afterwards. may spend $90 in materials if that..

I have a TC 1000 8" D2. Also have 2 12" DIYMA R12s. Both do amazing in .75 or less.
