Risk/Reward time

Once again, my local Trade-It has a set of DDs. Two 15"s, $400. They believe they are the 3500s. They won't take them out the box for the fear of damaging them. The guy that took them in said the guy that pawned them was saying they were $400 a piece. Whats the odds of them being 3500s? Are worst if they're a series down, how do those perform? I'm trying to make this decision asap.

I wouldn't do it unless i could see the back side of the woofer could be a boss sub with a DD dust cap...

I'm sure they're legit, but the store about 500 ft down the road sells DD. I'm itching to go for it, but I don't know

Does the box have a terminal cup? If so is it in a spot where you can removed 4 screws and get a flashlight to see the motors?

What I was thinking.

Just tell them if you can take one out, and that if its the model you think it is you'll buy them. If it's not you'll put it back in and if you cause damage in the process you will buy em'.

Or just say if you don't let me take them out the most i can offer is $200 seeing as i dont know if they are what you say they are or if they are the lowest line and i get ripped off.

Should get them to remove them.

Just got one out. They are 3500s. The series before they were cross drilled. Wonder if finding more is gonna be hard

Do you guys think there would be any issues with running these with the newer model if I can find matching ones? And these are stiff. Whomever didn't keep them long
