Good speakers for the $?

I went ahead and ordered the CDT HD 65D. For $99 I don't feel like I can go wrong.

I appreciate everyone's input on this thread. I'll update once I get them installed.

You should have underseat subs from the factory. Usually a pretty decent 3 way setup stock... At least imo, might be biased but my car sounds good enough stock with some EQ adjustments to bump the bass up (lower everything else) that it doesn't bother me. Maybe you're settings have been effed with. Aftermarket is always tits, but BMWs generally sound decent unless you have the most basic factory setup... I believe it's a mid EQ'd to hell and back... Very disappointing lol

The stock 3 way setup isn't bad, but it can definitely be improved upon.

Going to talk to the installer this weekend and hopefully get these installed within the next week or 2.

Truth be told, other than a set of 6.5 " JL Audio comps I had installed in my wife's car about 5 years ago, I haven't had quality comps in a car since a set of 6.5" MB Quarts back in 95'.

Looking forward to getting these installed. I'll post picks and a review.
