good picks?

what u mean by 2 r guage runs or a 1/0 run lol?
so i will need to upgrade my 4 guage into a 0 guage? does that only involve in changing 1 of the wires?

do i need to get an alt battery, since ive already got a 4 guage wire running anyways??>

what should i buy from sonic electronic if i cant get these ones?
Will you be running a full-range amp along with the sub?

If yes, then you'll need to replace your 4 gauge with 1/0 which will be split somewhere along the line into 2 4 gauges, that will plug into the amps, or add another 4 gauge that goes the full length.

If no, then your 4 gauge will suffice if it is a solid brand and is Copper, not Aluminum.

by full range amp u mean an amp over the wattage of the subs? to power them to full capacity? if so then yes, and what do u mean by it turns into 2 4 guages?

By full-range I mean an amp for the speakers in your doors, or dash, or wherever they are.

I mean that you run 1/0 to a distribution block, which fuses the wire, and then splits it into seperate wires, one going to the sub's amp, and the other going to the full-range amp.

well id like to amp my speakers at a later time, but from what ive read its better to get a mono block amp for subs, so thats what i planned ona doing, 1 channel mono block, than later buy a amp for my speakers?

what electrical will i have to upgrade? wont running a sep battery in my trunk be fine to run 2000rms, if i upgrade my0 guage and do the big 3.

You also have to account for the power lost by the amp, so add 20-30 percent to the original, then take another 350-500 when you get the full-range... almost 3k.

Even if you can run it, the alternator won't last long, it will be constantly at full load, and that'll fry it up quick.

hmm... well, if i were to buy 2 12" 1000 rms subs, and say a 2000-3000 rms amp, and upgrade to 0 guage, and do the big 3. can i run these at low pressure, until i upgrade my alternator?

Yep, but you should buy a voltage meter and try to keep it above the mid 13's to prolong the life of the alternator.

by the way you tell me is i need to update my alternator if i plan on getting 2000 rms , say i got 2 of any brand of sub rated at 1000 rms each, as long as i get a 3000 rms amp, those subs should push atleast 1500 rms right??

i just want my car to rumble, everywhere.

i just want something rated 900rms + on each sub, with a amp that will power them to their full capacity and then some maybe? ( when the upgrade is done ),

how much is an alternator? and possibly could i get your messenger for quick responses, i appreciate it

Music is dynamic in nature, that means that power supplied to the subs is not constant, on music the subs will only see maximum power from the amplifier when at full volume, at the right frequency.

If all you want is rumble, you can get a lot from a single 15" sub that takes around 1500, there are people who get a ton from 2 8's as well. How much the car rattles is really not dependent on just power, but more cone area and the amount of air moved by the sub. You can get a surprising amount of air moving from any set-up when you have a correctly tuned box, check out this video and you'll see what I mean.

As you can see, these are the subs that are rated at 600 RMS, taking 1300 RMS, there is obviously a ton of flex, this is because the box is properly built and the tuning is correct.

The set-up is just as important, if not more important, than the equipment itself.
