good for my truck?

Ok i am knew to this site and knew too car stereo... i have a 98 chevy ext cab truck and i have been thinking about getting a kicker 12 inch, its a knew shallow sub so i can mount under my seat the rms is 400 watts think this is plenty for a pick up truck? i want a good loud bass but i dont want ridiculous bass please le tme knwo thanks

Ok well its the 12 inch kicker sub with shallow mount... and im gonnaa be getting the 400 watt mono amp with it can some one let me know if this should sound good and hitt hard in a ext cab chevy pick up?

no clue about the sub but usually subs sounds louder in trucks because the relatively small open air space. could u fit 2 8" susb somewhere? i would think that would sound just as good if not better.

well i was gonna get 2 10's under the seat but the guy told me the one twelve would be simpler because we wouldnt have to remove the jack and that all that shit and its a shallow mount ... i dont know he said he installeed a similar system in the same kinda truck and he said it bumped pretty good i asked him well so its gonna sound good rite and people will here me rite? he just kinda looked at me with a dull face and was like......o ya....... but im not sure i wanted some other peoples input on it to see if this is somthing i should get or not....

you have an extended cab..quit being a bitch and buy an L7 or a Q throw it in 2cubes ported to 36hz ontop of your backseat behind the driver seat, woofer and port facing the roof with a 1kwrms amp and be done with it

shallow mount subs arent gunna give you the bang your wanting. to get what you want, ontop of the seat is what your gunna have to do. if you dont like it..buy an exhaust system instead

12 or a 10 in a small, efficient ported box with a thousand watts is what your looking for.
