good electrical?

It will cover up the problem. I've heard of people running 2500-3000 on stock, but that is to each their own. I personally wouldn't even take the chance, as you could fry the amp. Why not just save up for a little bit longer, do it right, and get a HO alternator?

Best way to do it is with a bigger alternator and correct batteries. Even with a 225 amp alt you run the potential into drawing more than the alt can put out over all and at idle which will tax the batteries and eventually the alt. I would add a voltmeter display and check the resting voltage of the batteries. If they were starting to go down from an original voltage of 12.9 and start resting at 12.6 you need a charger. In that case I would pony up and just install one of these Kinetik High Current Power Cells and plug it in when needed. Its cheaper than destroying batteries and you can always take it with you into another install or leave it in as you upgrade.
