Nice video. How did you calculate efficiency? It was amazing to me how you clamped every possible wire too LOl. I would have been lost.

im not really trying to defend them. lol... like i said, i dont use them. i wont say i never will if i need a quick replacement sometime. but again i would probly go with a mb quart or ppi or something.

I bought an apsm, used it, none of my subs blew up, the amp didn't catch fire, and I couldn't hear the fan. Did I get my $113 worth out of it? Sure did. Now I have a friend using it and he's happy with the amp since he's able to have some bass in his ride. Does he care that the amp doesn't do rated? Not a single bit

Not everybody can afford a quality amp, or have the time to save up for one. Some people just want to enjoy the hobby with what is available within their budget. You don't have to have the best stuff to enjoy car audio.

Now if the person is going around trying to make unrealistic claims and talk up the amp to be better than it is, then that's a different story.

That amp sure didn't sound like 300 watts when I used it.

it was more then 300 watts you heard lol. they make some power no dout. the point that everyone here talking down on AP is that its dirty power. i myself will clip mine on purpose in comps if it gets me a extra .1db or 2.

I only bought mine to have bass on the drive back from OKC to pick up my enclosure. We could tell a difference in sound when we turned the gain up too high, but when it wasn't clipping, the subs were still moving a decent amount of air and it didn't sound bad either.

I do eventually plan to buy a big quality amp in the future, but for now these budget amps work fine.

I only bought mine to have bass on the drive back from OKC to pick up my enclosure. We could tell a difference in sound when we turned the gain up too high, but when it wasn't clipping, the subs were still moving a decent amount of air and it didn't sound bad either.

im not talking down on AP because ive never used one. im thinking about trying one of apsm2000's out for quick little beater. just until i feel the need to go big again lol

That's pretty much what mine are, temporary amps.

When I'm done with them I'll more than likely just give them to friends to use
