good batteries? additional questions in thread..

currently just have stock alt and battery. 96 dodge neon. going to run about 1700 rms. what are good batteries. also, could i combine two different brands? lets say for instance, i put a kinetic 1400 up front, could i run that to a batcap 2000 in the back and everything would work alright? thanks yall

sure, with only 1700 rms you could probably get away with just the 1400 up front with big 3 done. what does your alternator put out, as far as amperage?

you might want to add a small batt in the back, a 2000 probably wouldnt be necessary. but i have 2 2000's and i love them

Powermaster D3100, DEKA 9A31, Kinetik 2400, Batcap 2000, all good batteries.

I'd personally take Powermaster..but the DEKA 9@31 is hard to beat for the price...

deka batteries are lead acid batteries correct? didn't think they would be good used in car audio.. or can be mixed with a battery like a kinetic. i could be wrong though

about 1700 watt rms combined. running an 800 watt oldschool kenwood 4 channel. puts out 35-40 rms a channel.
