good amplifier?

i got a UL400HC ultra linear amplifier... it says it can push 1200 RMS but uses 3 30 amp fuses can someone break it down for me in the RMS power with fuses? and tell me how to do it?! and are these amps any good? from what i heard there pretty solid but i just your guys inputs

I think you just multiply the amperage by the voltage so [3 30 amp fuses] x ~12 volts = 1080 watts

90 amps x 14.4 volts = 1296 so your amp falls somewhere in between being the amp is efficient enough to produce those numbers.

But when you factor in the eff. of the amp and the fact that a 90A fuse isn't going to blow the instant it tries to pass 91A - or 120A for that matter the calculation becomes pretty irrelevant.

The fuse estimation is ballpark at best. It's really only useful at the pawn shop when you see a 1000 watt amp with a 15A fuse.
