Good amp???

this is clouding up the debate for the OP. The IA is the most well built amp in the debate. Wired at 1ohm and rising to whatever, I actually doubt there will be much of an audible difference output wise between the IA, DB, AQ and BC2k. Any of these amps would be a solid choice and an amp clamping a few watts more then others shouldnt decide this debate. I would rather have quality.

My DD m3 is only rated at 2400w, but will smoke just about any other amp in its class other then perhaps a d5. So if an AP 3k clamps more then my DD then thats the amp I should take? Absolutely not. And clamped output doesnt even necessarily transfer over on the meter anyways. m3's and d5's constantly meter louder then lesser quality amps that perhaps clamp slightly more.

How are the OA 12's holding up?
Just fine. Haven't had a chance to get both of the 12's in cause I need to get some wood for a box, but I had the single OA-12 running off my 2200 @ 1 ohm. It wasn't getting anywhere near the full power cause of box rise and me not having much battery backup, but I never smelled it once.

Well... this turned into quite a debate.

The IA is far and away the "best" amp in the discussion right now. It's a bulletproof tank of an amp. I actually give the output nod to the DB Drive, but there are no better amps anywhere than the 20.1 and 40.1. I actually wish the 20.1 was as close to the D5 as the 40.1 is to the D9, but alas, it's not.

Note: that clamp of mine was the "old style" 20.1. The "new" one that's being mentioned is smaller and has 10-15% more output.

You can get more power for $450, but you won't get a better amp than the 20.1. If it was for my daily, I'd be getting the 20.1. It it was for my SPL car or didn't have $450, I'd be getting the DB Drive.

yes better then hifi. is that shipped price? i still would have spent the little bit of extra coin and got the ia 20.1 bnib with warranty, on of the most beast reliable quality amps out there. but the nendo is a good amp.
