Good 6.5" comp set with smooth highs?

OK. I can't stand harsh highs from tweets. For reference I've owned some Alpine Type-S, Type-Rs, and Focal 2 way comps (they were the kevlar ones that were just under the Utopia line a few years ago).

The Type-Rs are the least fatiguing out of all of them. The Focals and the Type-Ss were both much too harsh for me.

What are some lines out there with very mellow highs?

I'm looking to spend somewhere around $200.

You've got one more Alpine set to try and they can be had for your stated budget....The Type X. Vifa XT ring radiator tweeters. They will put the Type S and R to shame.

Word, look at the OZ's as well. Also look for silk domed tweets.

I've just recently found that out. In my experience metal tweet sare always harsh. I wish it didn't take so much money spent to come to that conclusion, but that's how we learn I guess.

Thanks guys, the Type-Xs are looking good. I've always likes that Vifa, it's teh ***.

What should I look at in the 200 price range from CDT?

I've never heard a lot about this company, anyone here have some?

The CL-61 is in my range, are these the ones to get?

Instant Message DJDILLIODON on AIM to get the best CDT deal you will ever get. I whould check out the CDT EF series components in your range possibily thru don.
