My friend drives a 1989 Toyota Camry and it has 4 inch speakers in the dash.

He wants to upgrade to a set of 4 inch coaxials to replace the stockers. For now they will be powered of the HU and he may later get an amp.

Would either of these be good? They seem fine on the mounting depth.

Would you guys recommend either of these?

The thing is is that it needs to be relatively cheap. Like around the price of the links I posted.

No more than 1 3/4 mounting depth. I dont feel like making anything custom to make bigger speakers fit. Just something I can drop in.

The image dynamics ones are only $100. For the jump, you'll get a much better speaker.

Otherwise... Going by brand name, I've found better results from the pioneer speakers over other mainstream brands.
