Some are a bit above your budget, but all will do their rated power. You can also get them cheaper by buying used off of the classifieds (usually you can get the DSC4125 for ~$160).

Yes, any of these amps will power your type-r's very well.

so you think 80 watts per channel will be fine with 100 w rms on the speakers?
Will it be fine? Sure, but you'll have to be careful not to drive your amplifier into clipping by trying to get more output than the amp can deliver. If you can find one used, the DSC4125 is a great value (but not new, they used to be a lot cheaper). Otherwise, it would be fine.

The Crescendo amp is one hell of a beast though; if you were willing to save up a bit more, it would be a worthy investment.

crescendo 1000c4 definatly, I have one for sale if you would like it, the warranty is even transferable!

THAT is what I'm talking about! Right at your budget, and it will give your speakers the power they need //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif
