good 1 sub setup?

hey I currently have a jl 12w6v2 in a sealed being pushed by a jl e1400 and im wanting something louder but i want to stick with the 1 sub setup. And i know that the w6 is best in a sealed box so i dont think i'll try ported unless advised to. what is a good 1 sub setup for SPL without sacrificing too much SQ? I listen to hard rock and rap if that helps.

well i would most likely sell my current setup, so i wouldnt want to spend much over $500 plus whatever i make off selling the current stuff.

go ported... and see if that satifies you then you can justify spending the money if you're still not happy
