gonna build my own amp

Haha good look. Are you an EE major? If not, good luck. You don't sound like you have the slightest inclination as to how hard it is to build a quality (or even sony/pyle/legacy quality) amp.

All the design that goes into it? Give up before you waste money on parts. I'm a third year EE major and I wouldn't think about attempting something like a car audio amp.

same major here, totally agree.

I would stick to this if I were you:

and ohh yea, OMG

its possible to "put together" an amp. its possible to use logic chips to make an amp. its possible to do what you say.

but is it worth the time and money when you could spend like 100 on a profile amp that is better than what you will come up with?

probly not.

but have fun if you try it.

im an electrical tech for the military, and i went through aprentice technical training, we had to learn amplifier theory and mosfet theory and all that good PnP NpN shit.

in THEORY its easy to think how you can use a small voltage to control a large voltage, but building that system is way out of 99% of peoples leagues. not to mention the parts get expensive - espically when you are testing and building and all that crap.

good luck i suppose.

i actually thought that post was kinda lame.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

props to him for trying to build an amp.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i've thought about it, but just dont have the time to attempt something like that or even to learn how to atm.

Thanks for the people supporting me the OMG s*it that got old lol. but i plan on saving up buying piece by piece at a time it will just be a small amp for my front stage not for my sub's im using my digital audio amp i have for my sub's not changing that one. i will be taking my time into this of course and i know it won't be cheap and i know it will be time consuming but i want to try this to test myself and with my teacher also helping me i will learn alot also. I will keep you all posted i will buying part's slowly saving up time at a time. some people may think im crazy or stupid for even trying to attempt this but that's ok i just want to challenge myself to see if i can do it and learn from it.
