I am going to put rammat in the trunk of my 1994 Honda Accord today. Anyone ever deaden an accord before? Any tips on how to cut the deadener? (I know with a razor blade I mean like should I just out little squares or what)

Also where are the best places to apply it if I am trying to conserve it. I have 60 sq feet and want to do my two front doors as well. I can get pics if you guys want.

I have an 04 accord that i'm going to be deadening tomorrow if my damplifier comes in. Sorry i can't help though because this is going to be my first attempt also //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

How are you going to do the trunk lid? And are you going to cover it with something so you can see the deadener
What exactly are you asking, could you rephrase that lol.

Are you talking about adding additional sound deadening products like second skin overkill?

Yeah like that black layer you can put over it.

I dont think I am going to use that

when i put my Damp Pro in, i used these to cut out little squares, cut it real nice...

tho i need to go back in and fix my doors, my power door locks are getting hung up

I didn't use any extra stuff, like luxary liner or overkill. I am sure it helps, but sound deadening is expensve enough, not to mention the time you already are putting in.
If you have the money and patience to do all that, then have at it.
Dont have the money or patience lol

I have a '95 Honda Accord...

.... 60sq. will just be enough for the trunk lid and bottom! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Get some expanding foam and fill in ALL those holes ( spaces inside the trunk lid )

Cut about 8" x 8" pieces for the first layer.

... When you apply, you'll probably have to cut little slits in the 8 x 8 pieces to make the deadner fold/take the shape of the trunk lid.

... Cut a piece that goes across the entire length & width of the trunk lid ( don't take the deadner adhesive paper off yet - Because you're goin' to have to cut spaces on the large sheet to go around the trunk lid bars * those little shock things on the side * )

... When the first layer is applied, you can take some spray-on adhesive and put that on the first layer ( lighty ), let it settle before beginning to apply the second layer ( the large piece ).

That's it for the trunk lid!

I have on 01 Accord and I did deaden'd my doors and trunk.

It was very time consuming, but well worth it. Just take your time.

Show us some pics after you finish!

Im going to go strip the trunk down now and then take some pics. Would you guys be able to tell me the most effective spots to put it? I dont want to do two layers anywhere
