every dsp nowadays has phase adjustments as well and everything you can ever dream about. Nothing old school can even come close.

analog is in no way worse. older amps had gain adjustments per channel and phase adjustment to do the same ting you do with time alignment and output voltage. filter networks all fundamentally work the same. each one present different phase and impedance shifts.
