Glued subs, will they ever sound the same?

Im going to have to glue back my older style Type R sub back together I guess. The rubber part is about 90% off. Will it ever sound the same if I use CA glue to put it back?

idk what could have caused his, but really old subs (in my personal experience) dont like power much.

if it's off than there is a chance that the coil was knocked out of alignment....

i would bet that it doesn't work right.

If all thats wrong is the surround became somehow detached, then yes, gluing it back together will be fine. They recone and re-surround speakers all the time, and they sound like new.

However, I'd be willing to bet something else might be wrong if the surround is detaching. But it's cheap and easy to "fix", so give it a shot and see for yourself if it still works.

when i got my re 8's the surrounds were already unglued so i took some glue and cloths pins glued them back and they work perfect

like mentioned somewhere else, goop is good. in the purple tube.... plumbers goop. i've seen that set up pretty darn good.
