Given trunk measurements..

Could anyone throw me some ideas of what would fit in my trunk?

16.5" height from base to upper bracket(limit)

18.5" clearance to get into trunk

29.0" deep from trunk lid to as far back as it can go

44.5" long from left to right

I had 4 P3 10s in mind, 2000 watts. I am not looking for SPL, just SQL. I have 2 P212s and I love the rocking bass it does but I'd like to at least double that. I looked at EVL 10s, I'd like to know if 4 of those would fit. Those are 1K watts RMS each.

Maximizing every inch of that is about 10cu after wood displacements.

Doing 4 10s might require firing up, which could diminsh some usable height.

What car is it?

IDK what will actually go into a 2013 Corolla... You might be better off looking at 2 12's instead of 4 10's... Make sure you can get it in!..

... possibly if the rear seats can come out you can slide a box in that way and use all your space... but you don't want to build something and have it hang up part of the way in.

You can check clearance by determining how deep the box needs to be then use a straight edge cut to this length (i use scrap MDF). Then slide the piece into the trunk until it is resting on the edge of the trunk lip, almost dropping in. With the piece placed there measure carefully at a right angle from the piece to the closest point on the rear deck/upper trunk opening and it might be a good idea to add an inch to be sure. Someone else may have a better/easier way but that's how I do it.

Like how that video you linked did with the 2x4?

Honestly... IDK... I've never seen the whole video myself but you can bet that if CAF vids do it a certain way... I'd agree with the experts. I googled a pic of the trunk and it looks like there is going to be obstructions going from the front.

you mean that upper deck where the rear mid ranges are?

If it was my Corolla I'd stop thinking about 4 10's and go with a pair of 12's you said you were thinking about the EVL's in 10" the 12's cost $10 more and 2 of those on 2400 watts will be certainly an improvement over the P2's you had. Skar EVL may not be a lot of peoples first choice but mine do okay!
