I have a friend whos girlfriend wants a system. She told me she didn't want to spend anymore than $1000. She said she wanted 2 10's, in a sealed box that got decently loud and sounded really good. I told her she could get a lot of internet brands for cheap, but she wants to stick with "main stream" companies, such as alpine, jl, RF, kicker, mtx, etc. All she wants is subs and an amp. I was thinking 2 JL 10w6v2's (ebay for $525 shipped), and a amp that puts out around 800-1000 watts of clean power. What are some of yalls opinions? Again, she doesn't want to go ported, so it would have to be a sub that sounds good and gets loud sealed.

Well, I've done some looking, and I didn't ever realize JL came out with the w3v3's. Thats going to fit her perfect. I have a mrd-m501 amp in MINT shape that I'm going to try to sell her (rated at 550w, but puts out over 600w). With that combo, or those subs and a ~600 amp, she will be plesently please I do believe. How many cuft do yall suggest for those things? Gotta be sealed.

Talked to her a liattle while ago, and its going in a new Monte Carlo. She said she wants the box covered in carpet as close to the stock color as possible, and she wants a Chevy bow tie in red, on the front between the subs. Should look nice when it's all complete. I will post pics, so don't worry.
