So I'm currently getting my transmission changed. I was going to wait there, but its now 4 hours later and they havent even started... good thing I went home. On the window, a paper was posted that said "Remove all stere (yes, not my typo, actually said "stere") faceplates. We are not responsible for any valuables inside the car."
So I took pictures of my trunk (amps, subs, xovers) at the place with it in the background, as well as my keys sitting on his desk for further proof incase anything goes missing. The dude just seemed fishy, a little too professional and slick acting. I'm pretty nervous. I took everything out inside my car, but they should have no reason to open my trunk (for changing my transmission fluid.)
Got any stories about theft at mechanic shops?
I'm not too worried since I took pictures with everything in the background, and also a time is recorded on the pictures, but I just don't want to have to go through the hassle.
