Getting my first system, are these good?

Okay so for those subs do you know a good amp? And your right about the electrical stuff.
I know I will get crucified for this but on a budget you might consider these: AP8001D - Car Audio/Stereo - Car Audio/Stereo Accessories - AudioPipe - AudioPipe Car Audio AP8001D Class D Mono Block Car Amplifier 800 Watts RMS Or the 15001D. A lot of people like them, a lot of people hate them. I have the 15001D and I love it. No problems as of yet. I still really like the cadence amps too though. Hifonics are in a similar class as the audiopipe amps. On a budget and best quality, I would strongly recommend MBQuart or Cadence.

Thanks man. I see there are a lot of options out there. Since misfit laid out a plan for me.....if I went with the Rockford's instead, an amp w/ "2 ohms: 300 watts x 2 chan" would suffice?

Hmm, yeah I was just trying to weigh in all my options because of budget but I'm gonna go with MisFit's setup and hopefully I can get that amp he suggested. Thanks for the help everyone.

Dude wait it out and save and do it right, listen to these guys their smart not dumb ***'s. Follow exactly what misifits said and you'll be ****ing surprised. Don't get garbage subs with a pre fab enclosure. Misfits gave you a link for a enclosure that will work just fine with mb quart sub. He also right about the amp. Me myself I run mb quart amps and highs and mids. Mb quart is way underrated their quailty shit. made in germany, germans make good shit.

if you dont have enough money just save and wait for it. Don't do it the wrong way, because with the stuff you picked out you'll be back in this thread asking for more advice, because that shit is trash son.

Str8 up the shit u picked outz id shit on n laff

Don't get a 4 channel amp. That would be good if you were going to be powering a full set of components or your fronts and a weak sub.
The OP would benefit greatly from buying a 4 channel amplifier. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

He's obviously working with a tight budget, so a "weak" sub is what he'll most likely end up with. And by the way, not everyone needs 2,000 watts of bass in their vehicle. Most people are more than happy with a nice 12" on 400 or 500 watts. A solid 4 channel will have that covered and he'll still have power on tap for upgrades, whether it's a second sub or a pair of components.

MB quart is not made in germany anymore. its made by maxxsonics. same folks that build hifonics. still good stuff, just not german anymore.

Yup, MB Quart has been a part of Maxxsonics for quite some time now. The RWE sub that I linked was released prior to the buyout (if I'm not mistaken), and it was built in the USA by Rockford Fosgate.

My bad. I just noticed the amp you suggested which would work just fine. I was more or less referring to the 4 channel he suggested which only pushed 400 watts bridged. Plus (not to say anything bad about hifonics) I believe hifonics is over rated and with his stock electrical that 500 watt sub you suggested will be hungry (I won't say starving, but hungry) for more.

speaking of good companies selling out to lower class companies. i just called precision power the other day to obtain plugs for my power class amps i bought last week and you know what they said when they answered the phone???

POWERACOUSTIK , HOW MAY I DIRECT YOUR CALL!!!!! One of the greatest amp makers of all time sold out to poweracoustik!!! LOL.
