Getting my first system, are these good?

Click the thanks button under my posts a time or two...
bahahaha.

To OP; if you have questions regarding box designs, details, affects of size/tuning/etc. you can do some quick reading through the enclosure section //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I also reply to PM's.

Sounds like doo-doo? Very mature post. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif jg77, get a single enclosure. They're not too expensive. It's not like your ears will detect the difference between a custom built one and a pre-fab one. When you get more money, get something better. Just enjoy what you get now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Get the fuck out please. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Argh. I'm surprised you aren't pulling your hair out by now, bro. That's the biggest problem with this hobby, people who ask for advice on building a setup, but when you try to give them constructive criticism, they don't want to listen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif or don't want to spend the money to buy good stuff.

I just hope the OP does take your advice. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No, I appreciate all advice. I got about a week before I buy everything so I'm trying to get all the information and advice I can so I don't waste my $ the first time. Does anyone else have any other recommended setups. For the subs and amp I think I can go $300.

OOBE is a dumb fuk ITT
Yeah, I really didn't want to say anything, but this is true.

OP your best bet is to go with just about anything misfit says. Those are some good recommendations. There is a ton of gear out there that will suit your needs if you look around. Don't think you HAVE to go name brand either. Kicker is good stuff, but you really pay for the name. Which means you pay a lot more for better quality. It's kind of like the difference between buying monster cables vs almost any off brand of cable for a 2 foot run. 2 feet usually won't make a big difference, but you pay 3 times as much with monster.

Anyway, do some more research on your own to see exactly what you want based on your install and you will be really happy in the long run.

Shitty? Really? What's wrong with the CVR? I had the first ones that came out and also the 2009 models and they sounded good. Didn't distort at all and went pretty low. They took the power well. Never failed. The guy doesn't want something crazy. Maybe you're being too picky. He's not trying to win a show. He just wants a dose of good bass. Calling the speakers shitty is not constructive or helpful and just makes things harder. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
i have owned the 07 cvrs. 2 12's and i had them in multiple enclosures. 1.25 sealed , 1.75 sealed , 2.25 ported @ 35hz. they sound like shit. dont get me wrong they are loud as hell for 60 dollar subs but they lack in the quality department. i was running 2 d2's off a zx750.1 and i was not impressed. my rd sonance will step all over them in quality and output and i only paid 35 bucks for it. obviously thats not retail , i got it used cuz the owner thought it was blown but i knew better , took it home and reglued the dustcap. STAY AWAY FROM KICKER!! they are loud , but sound like pure dog shit.
