I've never had mine in a different box, but the people that I remember that tried different ones didn't like it tuned that low.

Why would I want the box to be tuned any higher ?

Because higher tuning is recommended for that sub. A lot of people tune around 38-40hz

im doing one mag 12inch at 32 soon. single substages can b pretty bad ***. it comes down to your box.

What some people don't realize is the HDC3's perform VERY well with low tuned enclosures!!! They rec. higher tunings but doesn't mean they won't excel with lower tunings. Some of you guys should try it!!! Deep bass response is redicioulous, lol!!! Done several setups with them tuned low and had excellent results each time!
