The last system in my ext cab truck involved a 15'' L7 in 3 cubes ported at 37hz off a zx1000.1

Im wondering how that setup will mainly differ from my new setup to be installed this weekend. 12'' hdc3 at 2.25 cubes ported at 33hz off a sundown SAZ 1500d.

What are some of the main things you think I will notice.

i had a l7 12inch tune low it was nice. it set off alarms lol

I figured SQ for sure. Im really hoping the 12 will handle the lows better as well. I think it will be a better more well rounded application this time around.

How will the difference in wattage affect things ?

im getting very antsy as well because im about to do rid of the hdc3 12 ive had in my car for only about 3 weeks and do a wall of 8 cheap tens ha. but the aqs are very nice you will def notice a little better sound from it they do have a nice punchy sort of sound. they also hit the lows fairly decent even at higher box tunings. i love my hdc3 but having only one is not doing it for me and its gonna be a while till i can upgrade to the four i want to do. thats the only reason im taking it out. youll love it tho

im doing one mag 12inch at 32 soon. single substages can b pretty bad ***. it comes down to your box.

Right. I think im going to face the sub toward the roof of the vehicle as I did with my L7

Is there a reason you're tuning it so far below what's recommended? My HD315 is in 4 cubes at 40 hz and it still hits the lows fairly well.
