Ok, so im planning on buying my parents a new samsung TV for xmas. I was looking on ebay for it since i have a couple grand in my paypal that i need to get rid of anyways. Well i ran accross a brand new one that is perfect but has a 5" crack in the frame that is selling for a few hundred dollars. My plan was to buy this off of ebay, and then buy the same exact TV in a local store.
The question was, can i switch out the TV's and return the broken one in the brand new box the next day and get reimbursed for a fresh one free? Or do they have serial's on the box that match ones on the TV or something to prevent things like this?
