try something new. i have 2 12" type r's (3 models old now) and love them. im due for an upgrade though. I was just going to get the new 1243ds but idk anymore.

the thing I love about the type-r's is that they get loud, and still sound amazing. my friend has kickers, they get loud and thats about it. I went to best buy to test drive a few subs but they all sucked compared to the type-r's.

im looking to spend no more then $200 a piece (I want 2 12s) so what do you recommend? looking for SQL subs only.

ill be powering them with an mb quart DSC1500.1D.

seems like the newer type r's are very inefficient also. maybe look at the aq sdc 2.5 also. i think i'm gonna get another discus and try 2 hdc 12's though.

SDC's are good subs, the performance is fairly similar to the last model type r's at least. A bit louder. I did a ice litle test between the two, sdc's won but not by far.

Ya SDCs are good, and are quite a bit less than 200. But if you can, I'd probably go with the SA-12s.

sa-12s will get louder than anything mentioned according to winisd, even if u compare a FI SSD off 800watts and the sa-12 on 600
