GCAdidas's new ideas

i'll turn it down when i need to! it's cool. over the winter i'm saving for an RTA and before i comp i'll definitely tune the amps to only get as loud as they need to be.
I definitely went there, but found that most of the USAmps were either/both too much money or too little power. Thanks, though!

Too bad the 1200.1 from PG Xenon series is way too expensive or else I would love one of those...

Keep me updated if you have any more suggestions please!

thanks

Brian
Sounds nice so far, cant wait to see the install.

I am getting closer and closer to buying the Kicker SX amplifiers.
I don't know what to do to run everything active though...

Seems like I need seven channels to run active.

I could get the 900.4 for the DLS mids and DLS tweeters

and I could get a 600.2 for the Koda 8's

and I could get a 2500.1 for the Avalanche 15's

That's about the only thing I could go with and be happy.
anyone have any input?

Thanks

Brian

dont need the 2500 im about 100 percent positive on that one. the step up and step downs in power arent that big of a deal. if i may ask you what sub amp set up have you had before?

I think the PG amps you're considering will do just fine as long as you're willing to spend some more money on a NICE outboard x-over/eq. The Audio Control DQX will more than take care of your needs. Fully digital. Dual 30 band equalizers, 24db/octave xover. Xover frequencies are adjustable to 110 different frequencies in 1/12th octave increments. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It's only 6 channel tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif...and "2 channels" are for the subwoofer set of RCA's I do believe!

But yes Brian, I believe a 700.4 and a 600.2 would do you well for your front stage. You mids from the dls are probably 4ohm, the tweets I dunno...but the 900.4 would DEFINITELY be too much. So, the 700.4 will give you AT LEAST 80 rms to the DLS mids...and you can set the gains properly for the tweets. Then the 600.2 will give 150+ rms to the Koda's per side. I'd look into the SX1250.1 for your subs, at 1ohm it will deliver around 1500rms...sometimes birthsheets are even over that power. Plenty enough for the 2 15's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You'd have an EXTREMELY well balanced system...it'd be amazing.

Wouldn't a Rockford Symmetry unit give you all the channels that you need. You could pick one up pretty cheap and use whatever amps you like.

yup that would work too and go with the pg amps only thing with that is no warranty and condition of the rf peice

Ok, I see what you're saying but wouldn't that still give him low/mid/high ?? I can't see why you would need anymore than that unless you're going with a dedicated midbass AND midrange.

i will be needing a lowpass for subs, a bandpass for koda 8 midbass elements, another bandpass for UR6 midrange elements, then a highpass for the UR1 tweeters.

I'm liking how this is working... caraudio.com is continually getting better at car audio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

RE SE 15 in 4.3 cubes tuned to 33 hz, powered by RE 35.1d at 2 ohms (mine)

AA Avalanche 15 in 2.2 cubes sealed, powered by RE 35.1d at 1 ohm (mine)

Two mag 12s ported with Avionixx something or other, (IwantseXXX)

Brahma 15 sealed with a good amount of power

Brahma 15 ported with that same amount of power

Other audiobahn sh*t...

Not too much else though

lol ok on the fmods i would probably say the output of the ava's will be somewhere around the 2 12" mags prted but should be cleaner if you are giving them 1000-1500 watts sealed. should give ya a real mean 20-30 hz riff to boot lol

"on the fmods the output of the ava's would be somewhere around 2 12" mags"

fmods on the avalanches? i dont have plans to do that...

when you run active, and a component PAIR is rated at 150RMS, would one assume that each component is rated 75RMS? ish?

ok thx
