Gay guy at Lowe's cut my wood wrong...

i usually go to the wood aisle grab a t-square measuring tape and lay it out on the floor and mark the wood.

then throw the guy cutting the wood $10 before he starts and ask him to try to cut it perfect.

its always been dead on for me except once where it was like a 1/8th of a inch off on one end....the saw cut crooked.

lol at people complaining about shitty cuts.

its a panel saw, its not made for accuracy

the saws are at the store so people can more easily fit sheets of plywood and lumber in their vehicles, not so they can cut your whole project for you

if you don't have the tools then buy them. you can afford amps, wires, subs, and speakers, but you can't fork out ~$50 for a cheap circular saw and then maybe another ~$20 of other supplies needed to build a box?

if you don't have a place to build the box.... well you're probably wrong. a box can be built in a parking lot.

if you don't have the skill... well then you have no right to complain about other peoples shitty cuts when you can't do anything for yourself.

ya good story man, i bet you do.
i dont know what you ment but i bet i have built hundreds more boxes than you, most plain square boxes are not a problem, compound angles i do on table saw, panel saws at lowes/hd are not the best but if you lay them out for the guy who is going to cut it, mark it, and have your cut sheet ready, it only take like 5 minutes for them to cut it, i sometimes make them a little bigger and touch them up on table saw but rarely there is a probelm.

When you say something's gay...do you realize what you say?

But seriously, I'd invest in some saw horses, a straight edge, and an ok circular saw...then you wont have to worry about this. Plus almost all newer cirular saws will be able to cut 45's and allow you to add 45 degree inserts to port corners etc. (assuming you dont have a tools at home to do this already...didnt really read much)

again, i bet you have built alot more boxes than me buddy. But i kinda doubt you make them get a new piece of wood when they have a sign that sais no precision cuts.

Its not their fault you cant read the sign.

I just have them cut a little large and I trim it down myself with the circular, jigsaw and sander.

But the cnc will cut me some good stuff now that I have access to one that can handle a 4x8 sheet.
