Gauge of wire?

All depends really. Is this the only amp you have? Do you plan on upgrading? If it is the only amp and you do not plan on upgrading 8 gauge power and ground should be enough.

 
Yes I agree 8 Guage should do fine. Especially since that sony amp prolly wont put out what its rated for but will still do a fairly large number dont get me wrong. I would say that 8 guage wire would be good for up to about 1000 watts rms on a class D amp, and about 600 watts class a/b amp.

 
you can get a better amp for less money
Maybe he already has it, who cares at this point its not your money , just answer his question, i dont' mean to be a dick, but come on, and atleast if you are going to tell him theres better amps out there throw a suggestion or two.
