gas>me

On the arguement of the civic hybrid v regular civic your assuming that the gas price will be stuck $3.00 but if it goes $6.00 by 2008 than your assumption is worthless. I believe there is also a significant tax deduction (or credit) in place now for hybrids which may influence your decision based upon your tax bracket.

6.00$ a gallon. that would be pure rape.

I'm sure by 2008 there will be battery cars, or the hydrogen powered cars. Someone will come up with something.

Oh well. I always need exersize.

Just a follow up post, I got a insurance quote for 120$ a month. So i am going to the dealer tonite to drive it and see how i like it. Plus, i can now put 5500 down on the car so all in all 300$ a month for both insurance n car.

I will let ya guys know tonite. Thanks for all the input.

Is that 300 a month for the focus and insurance.

Those cars are so unsafe it's scary. They are built like a tuna can. When you crash they will need a d@mn good can opener to get you out...

yea for both,

i understand but in the beginning i owned a vw fox that was smaller than the focus. i spent 15$ a week. a freaking week for gas on that thing, i spend 65$ a week for the tbird. sometime i regret selling it, but it was downright fuggly. im just downgraing, getting a new car. also trying to save money.

plus, thousands drive focus's, its hard to beat this deal though..

Ya I saw a show, and bmw made a hydrogen powered car.. but it wasnt the "Hydrogen cell" it was an actual V8 and the thing was a beast, and ran fine. buut since there is only 1 made and it would probably run you a few mill.. let alone not being able to fill the tank.

My marquis is a 5L v8 I Feel your pain.

Ooh and BMW's plans are to make the first hydrogen car you can buy... it will have an engine that will go from hydrogen fuel to gasoline at the flick of a switch to keep your options open for filling up.. I dont see this working for the world for another 20 years though.

are you guys reatarded? why would you ever buy a car not built in america you people are the reason our country is going down the drain all these japanese companys who build their cars dirt cheap with no quality why not spend alittle more and go for a car you know is built american strong i just think its bs because everyone complains about no jobs

What do you drive?

Before you do a brain dump to the keyboard, best to think about what you're actually writing first. Hyundai has a manufacturing plant in the States. Ford trucks are, to my knowledge, still made in a foreign country (Canada). BMW Z3's are made in South Carolina. So the line between "import" and "domestic" is increasingly blurred.

But what do I know.

If it's a Ford, I invite him to open up the door and look at the Canadian flag, on the manfacturer's label...I know my E-150 was made in Ontario back in '94, same with my dad's F-150 in '91. They might have brought the facility Stateside, but I know for the better part of a decade they were technically "imports".

Took it for a ride yesterday. Its not a normal focus. At all. I've been in other focus's before, this one is different.

Hugs the road well, took it for a 20min drive on the cantry... side of where I live hilly roads, ect. Hugged it well. For a little 4 banger i was suprised. MOved pretty **** well with 2 other adults in the car. Had a sporty sound to it. no not a beehive but a little deeper exhaust, def not a normal focus. The car is loaded, plus I can get a few side options (heated seats, hotshot, ect.). The headlights have a little eyebrow to give it a little more look, seats fold down all the compact stuff. The car is gunmetal grey with 16" rims with Pirelli P6's. 5-spd made it fun. 6-disc cd changer (ripping that out for my clarion.) Suprisingly, the trunk was a big size. Big as my t-bird with a little more height room.

I got the payments down to 171/mo for 60 mos. Insurance is being finalized (quote) but at the moment its 120$. 300/mo for a 2005 isn't shabby at all imo. The car has a sporty feel not like a normal focus. I'm very very intrested in this car.

This may sound dumb, but it would most likely stay with my bird.

welcome to 2005 where Toyota & Honda have nearly as many US Employees as GM.

Booty hat.

You have no clue how the capitalist economy works... do You?

Oh, take a few peeks around Your vehicle... see how many parts are made outside of the US.

Booty hat.

It's people such as Yourself - level of intelligence et al - that force jobs out of this country. I bet You watch American Idol dont You?

Booty Hat.

Have a great day.
