But keep in mind i live in minnesota and there is no more than 6 black students in my school so this is crazy shit in my town right now. just a crazy day.

i'm from philly and there are plenty of gangs here. i have to deal with the crips, bloods, latin kings, hells angels, pegans, the breed and a couple others i can't remember. there are also plenty of drug dealers and crack heads in my neighborhood(the occasional mobster comes through to drop people off wit the fishes too). those kids will bring you nothing but trouble, they pretty much have a big red target painted on them. but i am a white guy and i have never backed down from anyone in a fight. i have been rolled on, stabbed, shot at, and had my *** kicked a couple of times. being in a gang is not cool and anybody who is i will tell them straight to their face they are a noodle. it doesn't matter what color you are as long as you have heart you will fight anyone. so to everyone who classifies a "non fighter" by their race is a b****! never judge a book by its cover !

Mostly the people who end up joining gangs are poor or have no parents or if they do then maybe their parents dont take care of them, they just dont get what they need to get moved through life and just find support with their "boys" in a gang and they start slangin making money and they thinks its good life since they have money, but it really isnt. Being in a gang isnt fun at all.

Apparently you aren't from a bad neighborhood because you would understand that it has nothing to do with your parents relationship or how they raised you! being in a gang is about loyalty and survival. i'm not saying those kids in iowa are in a gang for that reason but i know around me its pretty much for protection and loyalty. i know a couple people (including girls) in a gang whos parents are still together. living in a bad neighborhood is a whole new world. you don't just go about your day all happy and s***, you have to watch your back all the time and there is guarenteed to be drama every day of the week.

which is why you're likely to end up dead or in jail, cuz when it really comes down to it, 99% of them will do what it takes to save their own worthless ***.

that's how it was for me.. (Yes nebraska has gangs also).. i grew up in "the ghetto" not as tough as some of those out there, but it was rough. that was living with my mom, but she died freshman year, and moved in with my dad. and it's a good thing i did. i went back to my old neighborhood to go to a friends graduation party, and all of my friends had guns on them, and someone got shot cuz he cheated some dude when they were playin poker. i think i would have either been killed or locked up now.

i grew up around gangs most of my life so far, but the last 3 years i stayed away and most of them aren't around here anymore.. yes i have had guns pulled on me, yes ive seen 60 people gang fights, ive seen it all... been robbed, sold drugs, blah... now its just russians who jump people around here..

Here in hillbillyville I guess the closest thing we come to a gang is the pagans. Many of those guy around here. Also several members of a certain underground group who like to wear bed sheets. yea, i've been robbed, jumped, had shit pulled on me. sold.. i'm still around the stuff tho. i go to school not too far from my old neighborhood, it has a bad rep because it's in the bad part of town. i haven't been involved in any of that stuff for a long time tho.
