IIRC it's a 40hz tone for subs and 1khz for reg speakers...but I could be wrong my memory sucks

EDIT: JL website says 50hz and 1khz

So i have to make a CD with both a 50hz tone and a 1Khz tone and then play the tone through my head unit and then follow the other directions for setting gains??

well if your just setting the tones for your subs then you just need the 50 hz tone...

hopefully you have a pass filter that doesn't allow 50hz to get to your door speakers, but yeah just put the cd in and follow the directions on the sticky //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yeah some kind of xover. If you do not amp the speakers then hopefully there is one built into the HU. If you do amp them, then the signal should come from a preout which shouldnt be xovered, it should be the entire signal. Usually amps have them built in however.
