gain calculator site?

You do realize that setting gains via DMM is worthless, right?
How is it worthless? Explain in detail.

We prefer an oscilloscope so system effects are taken into consideration. That is a lot to ask of people asking questions on a forum. The biggest issue is knowing what wattage to assume and having a DMM that is accurately used.

I use a DMM to ensure left and right gain dials are actually equal. Visual inspection alone is highly innacurate.

You're talking about voltage, right?
V = sqrt(RMS * impedance)

V = sqrt(1000*1)

V = sqrt(1000)

V = 31.6227766

EDIT: eCrack has an actual calculator.
this is what i ended up doing. but going from 34.62 at 4 ohms to 31.62 at 1 ohm didn't do anything for me in terms of how loud it was... i could barely hear a different. and the apsm1300 is suppose to do 300 at 4 and 1k at 1... so should i be able to notice a 700w change?
